Whether you have a little one who can’t stop dancing, a child who would love to try ballet, or a teenager looking for more serious training, or you’ve always secretly wanted to try ballet yourself – come and join us!
On Saturday 12th September, we’re opening the doors of Brighton Ballet School for our BBS Community Open Day.
Throughout the day, anyone who is new to BBS can join one of our classes completely FREE, meet our teachers and students, and discover what being part of BBS is all about.
If you are already part of the BBS community you an bring a friend along for a free class!

A lovely first introduction to ballet for our littlest dancers

Grade 1 Ballet & Tap Taster Class (6 – 8 years)
10:00 – 11:15 am
Join our Grade 1 students for ballet and tap and experience a real BBS class.

A fun friendly class in ballet and tap for younger dancers.

Our Open Day is also helping to raise funds for BBS student Emma, who is beginning her second year of full-time vocational trianing at The Royal Ballet School’s, White Lodge.
Rather than charging our new visitors for their Open Day classes, we’re inviting those who are able to make an optional donation to Emma’s training fund.
Last year, 108 people helped Emma begin her extrordinary journey. This year we’re fundraising again to help with the considerable additional costs involved in supporting her training.

Principal of BBS
Teaches Ballet, Tap, PBT/Body Conditioning, Vocational Training, Coaching & ACRO.
Sonya started dancing at the young age of 4 years old, specialising in Ballet from a young age. She retrained to teach dance in her 20’s and opened BBS nearly 30 years ago now. In that time her pupils have gone on to professional performing and teaching careers at The Royal Ballet School and other prestigious establishments.
