Progressing Ballet Technique & Pre-Pointework Preparation 

For Students aged 9 years to Teens/Adults

Course Details :
Starting : Friday 19th April 2024
Class Dates : 4.30 – 5.30 pm

Time : 6:00 – 7:00  pm
Venue : Dance Studio, BHASVIC Sixth Form College, Old Shoreham Road Hove, BN3 6EG
Weeks in term : 14

What to Expect:

We are delighted to be able to offer a 1 hour  class in Stretching, Limbering and PBT for students aged 9+ wishing to improve their coordination, strength, flexibility and overall general health and well being.  We have combined our trusted stretching and limbering methods, with PBT to bring you a brand new course! 
What is Progressing Ballet Technique?

This brilliant programme was specifically designed for dancers to develop their body conditioning, and is a fast-track method of improving a dancers technique, and a wonderful way for child seeking to get fitter, gently exercise, tone and even rehab from injury.  Is also a lot of fun!

Instructors are qualified Dance Teachers, carefully selected for their expertise and experience within the industry and carry full enhanced DBS checks.

Students will gain strength, control, stamina, musicality, performance, presentation, confidence, increased posture and flexibility.

What to Wear
Shorts, or leggings you can pull up to your knee, a t-shirt or leotard.  Hair must be tied neatly away from face and jewellery removed.

All equipment is provided!

Student Discount – am I eligible?
(You will need to provide evidence of your student status)

To be eligible for an 16+ student discount at Brighton Ballet School you must be aged 16 or over, registered with an education establishment and be :

A full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course with a university or college enrolled on a full-time course made up of at least 15 tuition-led and/or structured learning hours a week over at least 14 weeks

Receiving NHS bursary money*, either as a full-time or part-time student,

A full-time postgraduate student (for example, studying or writing up for 15 or more hours a week)

Possess a valid NUS, or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining.
