What to Expect
Ever wanted to try ballet?  This is the course for you!
This comprehensive introduction to ballet course is the perfect way for adults and teenagers to learn this beautiful dance discipline.  We take you from the absolute basics of ballet technique in a structured approach that will have dancing like a pro in no time!  Students often report that the benefits of learning ballet include increased strength, agility, coordination, flexibility, improved posture and general well being.

Instructors are qualified Dance Teachers, carefully selected for their expertise and experience within the industry and carry full enhanced DBS checks.

Students will gain strength, control, stamina, musicality, performance, presentation, confidence, increased posture and flexibility whilst expanding their technical knowledge of classical ballet and repertoire.

What to Wear
Leggings & T-shirts are fine.  You are also welcome to purchase the adult school uniform including leotard, skirt, shoes, tights, leg warmers, wrap around cardigans from our school shop.  Shoes are the best investment you can make initially.  Please ensure you remove your jewellery before attending class and tie long hair away from face.

Student Discount – am I eligible?
(Please note we will ask you to provide evidence of your student status)

To be eligible for an 16+ student discount at Brighton Ballet School you must be aged 16 or over, registered with an education establishment and be :

A full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course with a university or college enrolled on a full-time course made up of at least 15 tuition-led and/or structured learning hours a week over at least 14 weeks

Receiving NHS bursary money*, either as a full-time or part-time student,

A full-time postgraduate student (for example, studying or writing up for 15 or more hours a week)

Possess a valid NUS, or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining.
