What to Expect

This class is designed for students who wish to take their dancing to the next level with a view to auditioning for vocational associateships such as The Royal Ballet school Junior Associate Programme, Ballet Boost Associates, Tring Park Associates, or full time vocational dance school.  Students will also be encouraged to take part in carefully selected Dance Festivals (All England Dance registered) throughout the year.
Our students have successfully auditioned and attend Ballet Boost Associates, Royal Ballet School Junior and Mid Associates, Tring Park Associates, and vocationally full time at Elmhurst Ballet School, Central School of Ballet, London Contemporary, Trinity Leban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Northern Dance School, and London Contemporary School of Dance.
This class will focus on encouraging the student’s natural abilities at a faster pace than they might experience in their regular ballet classes, concentrating on the posture, technique, skills, strength, flexibility and discipline required to gain successfully entry to a vocational setting.  This class will combine non-syllabus classical ballet alongside contemporary, progressing ballet technique, repertoire strength building, and pilates.  Students will gain strength, control, stamina, musicality, performance quality, presentation, confidence, increased awareness and control of posture and extended flexibility.
Instructors are fully qualified and experienced dance teachers, carefully selected for their expertise, experience and carry fully enhanced DBS checks.
The class takes place on Fridays between 6.00 - 7.00 pm during term time.  On successful entry to the programme students must complete all classes (or a minimum of 85% to remain in the programme) and give at least 6 weeks notice (one half term whichever is longer) to exit the programme.
Fees can be paid in monthly instalments or in one go at the beginning of the new term.  All instalments must be paid for one whole term even if a parent decides to exit the programme before this time.
The entry fee is £10.  This is an administration fee and therefore does not contribute towards the cost of your class fees.
Each student receives as brand new scholars leotard and waistband on joining the programme!
Please note: We do not practice a child’s festival choreography in this class.  This would have to be scheduled as a private class at another time.  This would be in addition to your child’s regular syllabus class and your child’s festival choreography private class.
