Junior Scholars Class

For children ages 8+ years

Course Details :
Starting : Monday 18th April
Time : 4:30 – 5:30 pm
Venue : Main Hall, Hannover Community Centre, 33 Southover Street, Brighton BN2 9UD
Weeks in course : 13 weeks

What to Expect
This class is for students wishing to take their ballet more seriously and work towards preparing for vocational auditions and full time training.  The class will consist of stretching, strengthening and ballet technique at an age appropriate level.  Students will be working at their own capacity, and encouraged to practice at home using resources provided.  Students are required to attend at least one syllabus ballet class a week at Brighton Ballet School.

For students aged between 8+  years old.  Previous experience is preferable but not essential.

Instructors are qualified Dance Teachers, carefully selected for their expertise and experience within the industry and carry full enhanced DBS checks.

Students will gain strength, control, stamina, musicality, performance, presentation, confidence, increased posture and flexibility whilst expanding their technical knowledge of classical ballet in preparation for vocational auditions and placement.  We have successfully auditioned students for vocational placements such as The Royal Ballet School, RBS Junior, Mid and Senior Associates, RBS intensive courses, Elmhurst Ballet School, London Contemporary Dance School, Legat Conservatoire, Northern School of Dance and Ballet Theatre UK School and Company.

What to Wear
BBS Scholars Uniform includes a burgundy leotard, navy waist band, pink ballet socks, pink ballet shoes.

If you would like to trial this class please do ask the office for more information.  For your initial trial sessions you do not need to purchase the uniform.

Please tie long hair back in a secure bun with fringes pinned away from the face.  Please use and use a restraining strap if children need to wear glasses.
