Improvers Ballet Class – Level 5 

For teenagers and adults.

Time : 7:30 – 9:00 pm 
Venue : Dance Studio, BHASVIC Sixth Form College, Old Shoreham Road Hove, BN3 6EG
Weeks in course : 6

What to Expect
This class is for students who ideally have  previous experience in ballet, or have taken our Grade 1-4 ballet class or a minimum of 2 years previous experience.  This class will follow both British Ballet Organisation Grade 5 Ballet level syllabus work along with free work, and build on the skills and techniques that we have already learned in the lower levels, teaching a new repertoire of steps, building strength, coordination and musicality in the dancer.

Instructors are qualified Dance Teachers, carefully selected for their expertise and experience within the industry and carry full enhanced DBS checks.

Students will gain strength, control, stamina, musicality, performance, presentation, confidence, increased posture and flexibility whilst expanding their technical knowledge of classical ballet and improving their overall fitness and mental well being.

What to Wear
Either the BBS adult uniform that can be purchased through our school shop, or leotard and tights, with ballet shoes. Please ensure hair is tied neatly away from the face.  Ballet shoes and dance wear can be purchased through the school shop and are an excellent investment.

1.  Fees must be paid no later than 2 weeks before the end of the current course you are taking.
2. Fees must be paid by the payment deadline to avoid accruing weekly late payment charges of £10 to your account.
3. You must give notice by the notice to withdraw deadline to avoid any ongoing payment liability

Student Discount – am I eligible?
(Please note we will ask you to provide evidence of your student status)

To be eligible for an 16+ student discount at Brighton Ballet School you must be aged 16 or over, registered with an education establishment and be :

A full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course with a university or college enrolled on a full-time course made up of at least 15 tuition-led and/or structured learning hours a week over at least 14 weeks

Receiving NHS bursary money*, either as a full-time student,

A full-time postgraduate student (for example, studying or writing up for 20 or more hours a week)

AND

Possess a valid NUS, or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining.
