Grade 5 Ballet Class
Starting: Wednesday 4th November 2020
Time : 6:00 – 7:20
Venue : Dance Studio, BHASVIC SIXTH FORM COLLEGE, Dyke Road, Hove
Weeks in course : 7 weeks
Level of experience : Students will have at least 3 years of previous ballet experience, or taken a Grade 4 Ballet examination.
What to wear: It is essential that the appropriate attire is worn for the class you wish to take. Brighton Ballet School has a strict school uniform which should be adhered to at all times, and is available for purchase through the school shop. Brighton Ballet School Teachers and their representatives reserve the right to refuse entry to any student who is deemed inappropriately dressed for the class they wish to take.
Grade 1 – 8: BBS long sleeve black leotard (summer styles available) or BBS burgundy leotard, optional BBS chiffon wrap around skirt, pink tights, pink ballet shoe and optional demi-pointe shoes with ribbons. Please ensure your hair is neatly tied back in a bun and that all jewellery and nail varnish is removed before you attend class.
Exam uniform: British Ballet Organisation leotards must be purchased for examinations of Grade 6 and above.
Grade 1 –8: Black male ballet tights, white fitted ballet t-shirt, white socks, black ballet shoes.
BBO/BBS UNIFORMS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE SCHOOL SHOP IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING EXAMS IN THE FUTURE.
Student Discounts available : Student discounted rates are automatically offered to anyone up to 16 years of age.
To be eligible for an 16+ student discount with Brighton Ballet School you must be aged 16 or over, registered with an education establishment and be :
- A full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course with a university or college.
- Enrolled on a full-time course made up of at least 15 tuition-led and/or structured learning hours a week over at least 14 weeks
- Receiving NHS bursary money, either as a full-time or part-time student. Proof of such must be provided.
- A full-time postgraduate student (for example, studying or writing up for 15 or more hours a week)
Possess a valid NUS, or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining., or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining.
Please familiarise yourself with the latest Covid-19 restrictions that BBS staff will be following before signing up for a class as these will need to be adhered to at all times.
