Level of experience : No experience necessary! This class is suitable for students who have no experience dancing ballet whatsoever and want to learn the basics of this beautiful dance style. We will follow the our very own tried and tested beginners programme developed over the past 20 years, that introduces the merits of ballet dancing to students of any age or ability. In this course we will start from the absolute basics of ballet in a fun supportive environment. Students will discover the endless benefits of taking a ballet class including building strength, coordination, improving posture and musicality alongside getting fit and improving mental health and ability.
What to wear: No uniform required. Students should wear a fitted t-shirt, leggings or jogging bottoms, and socks on their feet. We encourage all students to move on to wearing dancewear (we have our very own Adult Ballet uniform) as soon as they feel comfortable to do so as this will really help the student to feel prepared for their class and help them get the most out of their time with us. The best investment a student can make is ballet shoes. Please check our shop page for all our dancewear essentials.
Brighton Ballet School Teachers and their representatives reserve the right to refuse entry to any student who is deemed inappropriately dressed for the class they wish to take.
Please ensure you remove jewellery before attending class, and that hair tied neatly away from face, preferably in a ponytail or bun.
Please familiarise yourself with the latest Covid-19 restrictions that BBS staff will be following before signing up for a class as these will need to be adhered to at all times. In the event of a local or national lockdown classes will continue to be provided on line. No refunds or credits will be offered in these circumstances. Please refer to our full Terms & Conditions for more information.
