What to Expect
This course is a great introduction to tap dance teaching the basic steps in a fun energetic environment. Tap dance is a great way of keeping both mind and body fit and well, and is also a fun way of exercising! No previous experience necessary.
Instructors are qualified Dance Teachers, carefully selected for their expertise and experience within the industry and carry full enhanced DBS checks.
Students will gain coordination, control, stamina, musicality, performance, presentation, confidence, increased posture and flexibility whilst increasing their fitness in a fun socially interactive setting!
What to Wear
Tap shoes are a must! You can purchase them through our school shop at very reasonable prices. Leggings and trousers are ideal with a lose fitting t-shirt. We recommend you also bring a bottle of water as it can get very hot and sweaty during a tap class!
Due to the nature of the pandemic and the constantly changing situation that unfolds on a daily basis this may change at short notice.

In the event of a local or national lockdown classes will either continue to be provided on line or your fees will be held in lieu of reopening at a future date.

Student Discount – am I eligible?
(Please note we will ask you to provide evidence of your student status)
To be eligible for an 16+ student discount at Brighton Ballet School you must be aged 16 or over, registered with an education establishment and be :
A full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course with a university or college enrolled on a full-time course made up of at least 15 tuition-led and/or structured learning hours a week over at least 14 weeks
Receiving NHS bursary money*, either as a full-time or part-time student,
A full-time postgraduate student (for example, studying or writing up for 15 or more hours a week)
Possess a valid NUS, or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining.
