What to Expect
This class will teach the basics of classical ballet technique whilst building strength, coordination and musicality in the dancer.
This is the ideal class for parents looking for a structured environment for their children to learn the foundations of ballet in a positive supportive setting. Previous experience not essential. Parents/guardians are permitted to watch first class, and then encouraged to leave their child thereafter.
Instructors are qualified Dance Teachers, carefully selected for their expertise and experience within the industry and carry full enhanced DBS checks.
Students will gain strength, control, stamina, musicality, performance, presentation, confidence, increased posture and flexibility whilst expanding their technical knowledge of classical ballet and repertoire.
What to Wear
BBO branded lavender leotard, pink ballet shoes, pink ballet tights which can all be purchased from our school shop. Optional extras include leg warmers, wrap around cardigans, hair bands and hair packs. Hair must be tied neatly in a bun please.
Due to the nature of the pandemic and the constantly changing situation that unfolds on a daily basis this may change at short notice.

In the event of a local or national lockdown classes will either continue to be provided on line or your fees will be held in lieu of reopening at a future date.

Student Discount – am I eligible?
(Please note we will ask you to provide evidence of your student status)
To be eligible for an 16+ student discount at Brighton Ballet School you must be aged 16 or over, registered with an education establishment and be :
A full-time student registered and studying on a higher education course with a university or college enrolled on a full-time course made up of at least 15 tuition-led and/or structured learning hours a week over at least 14 weeks
Receiving NHS bursary money*, either as a full-time or part-time student,
A full-time postgraduate student (for example, studying or writing up for 15 or more hours a week)
Possess a valid NUS, or student card with at least 6 weeks of your course remaining.
