It has been such an exciting first week of term here at The Brighton Ballet School!

We have started the first week of the new term opening up the classes to new prospective students to give a try!

Will you make starting dance one of your New Year’s resolutions? If so, maybe one of these classes is for you or your child…

We kicked off the start of the week with our Beginners Adult Ballet class.

Our beginner’s class is designed as a gentle introduction to the basics of ballet.  Suitable for any age or ability, you will learn the essential elements that make up a ballet class in a welcoming, supportive and fun environment.

The benefits of a ballet class are endless including better posture, coordination, stamina, flexibility and general well being.  It’s also a really fun, social way of exercise!

Then on Wednesday, we kicked off our Progressing Ballet Intensive Workshop for the term.

Progressing Ballet Technique is a new body conditioning system that is superb for creating the long, lean muscles of a dancer.  This fantastic new system is easy to learn and easy to work into your weekly routine so that you can practice at home and fast track your fitness in 2020.

Come along and learn 5 basic exercises that will help you to improve your overall stamina, strength, core stability, ankle and foot strength, flexibility and coordination!  It’s a wonderful all round workout and the best thing is its easy to learn and you can practice at home.  It is great for injury prevention and rehab and is open to all ages and abilities.  No previous dance experience necessary!

If you do dance then this will be the most valuable thing you can learn this year to develop and enrich your technique.

What do you need :
A large (at least 65cm) exercise ball.
Exercise band
Small physioball
Tennis ball

If you do not have these items do not fear!  You can book a ball and all the other equipment when you book your space.
